Bursitis: Swelling of The Bursae. Bursae, which are little sacs of fluid are found in the knee (11), the shoulder (8), elbow, and hips as many as 78 on each side of the body. Your body’s natural response to an injured /damaged muscle, tendon and/or bone is swelling and inflammation. This occurs when blood rushes to the area of injury. The following is what your doctor will prescribe for you. However, we know that medicines, antibiotics and steroid will cause adverse reactions in the body. I believe that the best things to do are what comes natural, heal thy self.

). If the area is hot, apply ice

). Exercise the joint, by swinging the arm or knee freely to relieve the ache for a couple of minutes at first, but do it often during the day.

).Apply tea tree oil to the inflamed area 3-4 times daily, this will cause the swelling to subside as well as alleviate the pain associated with the bursitis.

). Peppermint oil and frankincense oil can be applied to the affected area to boost circulation, reduce inflammation and control pain. These can also be used during massage therapy, applied before or after stretching, and added to a bath.
