Seven Tips to avoid shortness of breath:

1. Clean your airways before eating

2. Eat and chew your food.

3. Eat foods that are easy to chew - this will conserve your energy, so you have more for breathing.

4. Eat smaller meals and/or eat less often.

5. Save beverage until after you eat.This causes your to fell up quicker causing you to fill full or bloated, which causes difficulty in breathing.

6. Eat while sitting upright. Sitting up reduces the pressure on the diaphragm, the major muscle of respiration.

7. Purse your lips when breathing - this helps reduce anxiety.
