We do a lot of things to bury the pain within. Smoking, drinking, eating, drugs and even become abusive.
Today I want to focus on food binging, because that is what I am doing right now. I know it because I am eating way more than I usually do and past the point of being full. It taste so good and feels so satisfying. It's only a cover up. I can honestly say that I am very much aware of what I am doing. And it must stop.
As of this point I chose not to cover up, bury or sweep it under the proverbial rug. I have a real issue and I want to pick it apart so that I can live a more fulfilled, awkened life. The pain started of course in childhood, as most of our problems do. I think that the pain of others is transitioned to us, the child, from the adult. then we carry that transferred pain into our adulthood. And here were are stuck in the mud, having to clean ourselves up. Unable to move forward until and unless the dirt is, first recognized, secondly, we must be willing to see the dirt for what it is and thirdly, we must do a deep, long, intense, thorough cleanse.
For us to be healed as an individual, as a family and as a community, this must be done. This is the real fight.
